Cookie policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026.
This page describes cookies and similar technologies on Mariusz Kuciński’s site, and how the Google Consent Mode v2 banner works.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored in the browser. The site also uses localStorage to remember the consent choice. Some of this is necessary for the site to work. Analytics and advertising turn on only after consent.
How consent works
Until a choice is made, measurement tags stay off or run in a limited mode. The saved choice goes into the browser under the key cms_consent_v2 and is sent as a Consent Mode v2 signal: granted or denied.
Categories in the banner
| Category | Signal | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | always on | Site security, the session and remembering this choice. These cannot be switched off in the banner. |
| Analytics | analytics_storage | Visit statistics, for example Google Analytics 4, when an identifier is set in the panel. |
| Ads (storage) | ad_storage | Storing information related to advertising. |
| Personalised ads | ad_personalization | Matching ads to activity on the site. |
| User data (Google) | ad_user_data | Sending user data to Google for advertising purposes. |
Tools
If identifiers are filled in the site settings, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity may load after the matching consent. Without consent those scripts do not run. Provider policies: Google, Meta, Microsoft.
Changing the choice
The choice can be changed at any time with the cookie preferences button on the site. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already happened. Cookies can also be deleted in the browser settings.
How long they last
Consent stays in the browser until it is changed or the site data is cleared. Cookies of external tools expire under each provider’s rules.
